Encausticbord Flat Panel 127mm (5″) x 178mm (7″) x 3mm (1/8th”).
This Encausticbord panel is 5″x7″x1/8″ (3mm) and designed specifically to meet the needs of excellent key, bright primary surface covering and a rigid flat heat tolerant material. These encausticbord panels enable use of all types of encaustic waxes (resin and non-resin types), multiple layering, embedding of objects within the wax, all types of multimedia and more. They are created from high quality archival materials (Museum Series). The flat panels can be framed for display whilst the cradled panels (framed edging with added stability) can be hung directly on a wall without further framing.
*Note – metal tools (iron) can leave metallic abrasion marks when used directly onto the absorbent primed panel surface. However, once an initial wax layer has been applied with brushes/fused or with a hot air gun/hotplate (both create fusion during application), then metallic tools can be used successfully provided you don’t melt right back down to the base layer and make moving contact with the abrasive primer coating.
