In 1997 Michael Bossom wrote a book to embody all the basic techniques that have made encaustic art and other creative waxart such a success with so many. | During 1996 AartZ Ltd, a UK company, developed a new range of coloured waxes suited for encaustic creativity. They also introduced an acrylic wax sealer for protection of the wax artwork and integration of other media over the wax effects - especially acrylics.
As the idea of utilising graphics within encaustic images has grown AartZ Ltd also produced a small specialized range of Rubber Silhouette Stamps to provide interesting designs that fit well into the wax art images. *Later these were adopted into the main Encaustic Art product range. |
During the years many of those who bought and explored Encaustic Art have grown skilled and committed to this wonderfully creative medium. Michael Bossom formed a certification course in UK for the basic teaching standards required. This group of qualified and able teachers was known as "THE ENCAUSTIC ART TEACHING NETWORK" | In 1996, almost 10 years after the first encounter
with coloured wax artwork, Michael brought encaustic Art to the Internet.
Who knows where it will go, whaat it will inspire and initiate?
One thing is for sure though, creative change will have occurred! |
