John Buckland . Wales Gorphwysfa, Carrog, Corwen |
He is an inspiring teacher (see his courses in North Wales) and now embraces modern digital technology to further explore and exploit the emerging possibilities of molten wax creativity. |
John Buckland teaches special needs. He has long been interested in imaginative and creative activity and his home in North Wales brings constant inspiration to his fertile mind. He is a strong Teacher and has demonstrated his expertise in hotplate techniques in several countries. Early on at the Encaustic Art Teaching Network seminar 1999 & convention 2001. Later in Germany, Holland, Denmark as well as running international courses in Wales. John has held an interest for photography for many years and enjoys the process of discovery that is paramount to truly creative work. His unique development of encaustic art work has led to many experimental approaches - some work well, others fade in memory - this is the way of creative artistry. John continues to expand the frontiers of his work by flowing forward into new areas of potential. |

John was the guest demonstrator at the 1999 Encaustic Art Teaching Network Seminar. The event was held at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Birmingham, UK, where about 40 of the teachers (who have been through a 2 day course with Michael Bossom) gathered for the day of demonstration and discussion covering both hobby art and fine art topics. Here John demonstrates some Hot Plate techniques using a domestically available electric heat tray .... ...more at the 2001 convention in Oswaldtwistle. |
