Encaustic.com update September 2020

Hello and welcome to this latest short update. Wax melting is a wonderfully relaxing and absorbing hobby art for just about all of us in these times of being at home more. And as the evenings darken, working with a warm iron and bright wax colours is even more appealing. Hopefully you'll get a chance to do some πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ŠπŸ Webshop is here
Yes, we're back on Hochanda for another couple of hours, this time a bit later in the day.

We're trying to keep things simple in our demonstrations, to help others realise how easy it can be to begin with melting wax colours.

If you have any encaustic art that you have made which you would like to let others appreciate then please do send it into the producer - it's really easy to do that. Just send an email to :
It would be great to see some of your work on the show !! πŸ˜€πŸ˜ πŸ˜ŽπŸŽ¨πŸŽ„
Over in Encaustichouse.com we have been working hard to create a brilliant Discover Hotplate course. Wemke & I work using both the compact hotplate (25cmx18cm - heated by the iron) and also the larger A2 electric Glass surfaced hotplate. It's going to be great. These are some of the 170+ images I did for the Inspiration galleries. There will be more than that in the end though!
Stay tuned for more in the next update!

Compact Hotplate Butterfly inspiration
The late summer has given us a flood of white butterflies in West Wales! They inspired this image below which is an A5 card worked upon the Compact Hotplate. The Stylus Pro was used with the card still sitting on the hotplate.
Don't forget that there are videos to help and inspire over at our website.
